Head of School

Nathan Daves

Nathan Daves grew up in Ellis County and now resides in Waxahachie with his wife, Brooke, and two daughters, Lilly (a student at Waxahachie Prep) and Jordan (a graduate of Waxahachie Prep). Nathan and Brooke are passionate about discipling their daughters, learning and studying apologetics, serving in their church, Remedy Church, shepherding couples in marriage, and their own walks of faith and obedience to Jesus. Nathan loves learning, exploring, and all things outdoors. In his early years, he received his BA from Texas Tech University, feeling very much like a West Texas kid most of his life. After getting married, they moved to Boston for Brooke to complete her law degree at Harvard, while Nathan received his M.Ed. from Cambridge College.  Nathan later obtained his certification in Educational Administration from UT at Arlington, after moving back home to Texas. Nathan began his teaching career in South Boston as a 6th grade teacher. After he and Brooke moved back to Texas, Nathan taught for years as a junior and senior level AP Literature teacher in the public school system, as well as serving as an administrator for several years in a local school district. After many years, Nathan left education to pursue his dream of tearing down barns and houses and turning them into fine custom furniture. It was a beautiful and fulfilling endeavor and healthy break from education. Then, in the fall of 2020, Nathan found himself called to other plans God had for him, specifically to serve as Administrator of Waxahachie Prep. Although it was initially only intended to be an interim position, God made it clear that He would use Nathan for His glory in this new position for a longer term. With Nathan now in his fourth year at Waxahachie Prep, it has been a great honor and privilege to be a part of all the extraordinary things that God has done for this incredible institution.
